The Key to Raising Righteous and Successful Children
By Dr. Norlain Dindang Mababaya
Teaching Islam to our Children: An Important Islamic Duty
Islam teaches us different ways to attain success. One best way is to seek Islamic knowledge based on the Qur'an and the Sunnah. We need to spend time, money, efforts, emotions and patience to learn authentic knowledge of Islam not only for our own success but also to be able to share it to others, especially to our children.
The most important and lasting gift or inheritance that we can give to our children is knowledge of Islam. It is a must that we should educate our children with Islamic knowledge since as parents we are accountable to their success and failure. The Prophet (saws) makes it very clear that we are accountable to our respective families/children: Abdullah ibn Umar reported that he heard the Prophet Muhammad (saws) saying:
"Every one of you is a guardian, and responsible for what is in his custody. The ruler is a guardian of his subjects and responsible for them; a husband is a guardian of his family and is responsible for it; a lady is a guardian of her husband’s house and is responsible for it, and a servant is a guardian of his master’s property and is responsible for it. A man is a guardian of his father’s property and is responsible for it so all of you are guardians and responsible for your wards and things under your care)." (Bukhâri 3/592)

Learning is happening all the time. It can be fun and can be accomplished in many different ways. Our program focuses on early literacy skills such as phonics, pre-writing, pre-reading, beginner math concepts, and development of fine motor skills. Each class offers fun age-appropriate activities including free-play, imaginative play centers, circle time, stories and songs, Qur’an and dua’ memorization, and creative crafts.

The school prepares children for the next level which is KG. The standard is higher compared to other preschools as far as where the educational emphasis is on. The bonus is the Arabic alphabet recognition and Islamic values practiced at this stage making it a part of their daily routine.
It’s a great Islamic environment, well organized and educational.
My child learned a lot and the preschool has great environment.
Teachers are nice and helpful. There is an excellent communication between the teachers and myself. I always get informed on my children’s progress.
Our son has come a far way. We are very blessed to have come across the opportunity to have him accepted into such an excellent program. He has brought many of the manners taught at school to home. His Quran memorization and his gained knowledge in Arabic and English have made us very happy and proud parents.
Teachers are great and have really good teaching skills. It’s a great preschool because it teaches two languages and teaches students about their religion. I love how the students memorize the quran that they teach them, which is the most important part for our kids. That all goes back to the teachers and their hard work. Another thing i love is everytime i drop off my child she is very happy to be there and when i pick her up she’s always got the biggest smile and loves all the teachers and wants to talk about everything they did in class. I am very happy that my child was able to get in this preschool that has the best teachers and a very clean school.
The preschool makes me happy. Teachers are nice, sincere and caring. I really appreciate their teaching style. My child is so happy to come here.
